Since its launch, Diablo 4 has received mixed reviews. Gamers' love for this blockbuster has also fluctuated with each part of it.
While Diablo 4 was initially highly rated, subsequent seasons turned it from a blockbuster into the most criticized title. Things were so bad at one point that many gamers were willing to wait until Path of Exile 2 – Diablo 4's direct competitor – was released to “move house” early.
Besides the content issue, the reason why Diablo 4 received a lot of criticism also comes from the fact that the game created too many microtransactions, with the sole purpose of making money for Blizzard and sucking the blood of gamers.
And despite the numerous frustrations from players, Diablo 4 is still the best-selling game in Blizzard's history. Even according to the latest figures, the total amount of money Diablo 4 has earned has surprised many gamers. It turns out that I have “donated” that much money to this game.
Specifically, just counting the revenue from microtransactions such as selling skins, in-game items or Battle Pass, Diablo 4 has earned 150 million USD in the past time (about more than 3,000 billion VND). And when calculating the revenue from the time Diablo 4 was launched, Blizzard has earned more than 1 billion USD. Of course, this number certainly shows no signs of stopping when the game itself is still maintaining a large and stable number of players, at least until Path of Exile 2 officially launches in a few months.
The game's first expansion will be released on October 8th, called Vessel of Hatred. In addition to continuing the storyline, this expansion also adds a new class called Spiritborn, a jungle area, an NPC system with new dungeons, and many added skills for the remaining classes. Of course, it also promises to be a new “bloodsucking tool” that Blizzard brings to gamers.
