Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest, the upcoming new anime series — and sequel to the original manga by Hiro Mashima (author) and Atsuo Ueda (illustrator) — has now released its main trailer. The video introduces the anime's opening theme song, “Story”, performed by Da-iCE.
The new Fairy Tail anime is expected to premiere in Japan on July 7, 2024, and is highly anticipated following the five-year gap between 100 Year Quest and the series' previous installment, which ended in September 2019. . Five-member boy band Da -iCE also previously performed One Piece's 23rd opening song, “DREAMIN' ON.” The official Fairy Tail website also announced that the ending theme song of 100 Years Quest is “Tomo yo, Koko de Sayonara da” (“My Friend, We Say Our Farewells Here”) by female idol group Boku Mitekatta Azure station.

The animation studio behind Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is moving to JCStaff
Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is directed by Shinji Ishihira, who returns after directing the previous anime seasons, and Toshinori Watanabe (Tokyo Ghoul:re), with composition by Atsuhiro Tomioka (Digimon Adventure, Trinity Blood, Inazuma Eleven). The show is produced by JCStaff, famous for anime such as DanMachi, Food Wars and Toradora. The studio is taking over from the series' previous animators at Bridge, Satelight, Dentsu Inc., A-1 Pictures and CloverWorks.
