One of the dark horse anime of 2023 is Odekake Kozame. The cute adventures of young shark Kozame have captured the hearts of many viewers with short films uploaded to YouTube weekly, and that popularity has led to collaborative events across Japan. The official X (formerly Twitter) account of entertainment center Red° Tokyo Tower announced on August 13 a collaboration between Odekake Kozame with merchandise, puzzle games, cafes, etc. The collaboration lasts until September 29.

According to the website, visitors received a lunch mat with their ticket purchase. A tapestry of Kozame surrounds the plate with the message “You ate everything. Amaz-SEA-ing!”

Merchandise includes: pin badges, acrylic holders, key holders, stickers, die-cut cushions, face towels, lucky charms, clear folders, t-shirts, tote bags, boxed bread (yes , it's a thing) and canning bags (it's also a thing). Prices range from 550 yen to 3,520 yen (about US$3.90 to US$24.70).

The collaborative cafe includes four menu items: Kozame-chan Hawaiian pizza, Kozame-chan apple pie, Kozame-chan blue Ramune drink, and Kozame-chan Pineapple Yogurt. Each order will include one of six random Odekake Kozame coasters.

Event participants can also participate in trivia games. Participants were given a flyer to play with and received a set of Kozame stickers upon completion.
The highlight of this collaboration is the meet and greet with Kozame on September 15. Sadly, participants need to enter a lottery between August 31 and September 4 to get tickets to see the characters.
The collaboration between Red° Tokyo Tower and Odekake Kozame is a fun little end-of-summer event. Even though it's over, perhaps Kozame could return for another event in the future.
