Kadokawa has announced that voice actor Tomokazu Sugita will join the cast of Detectives These Days Are Crazy! TV anime adaptation, in which he will play three new characters.
A new promotional and visual video was also released to celebrate Japan's Good Middle-Aged Men's Day and features members of “The Big Four of Yabee Ojisan” including main character Keiichiro Nagumo.

Sugita will voice three middle-aged men in the series: Nipple Tasting Man, Cross-Chest Haired Man, and Rope-Tasting Man.
He joins a main voice cast that includes:
• Junichi Suwabe as Keiichiro Nagumo • Kana Hanazawa as Mashiro Nakanishi • Tomohiro Yamaguchi as Yu Asunaro • Aya Hirano as Hana Kazamaki
Rion Kujo (Legendary Hero Is Dead!, Wanted to Be the Strongest in the World!) is directing the anime. It is also known in Japan as Mattaku Saikin no Tantei Tokitara.
Masakuni Igarashi's original comedy mystery manga began serialization in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Maoh magazine on April 27, 2016, and has released 15 tankobon volumes as of August 2024.
