Delicious review and summary of episode 6 – A new world inside pictures
The episode begins with a legitimate concern from the Senshi, something even I have been wondering about for a while now. It’s been 2 to 3 episodes and Laios’ group still hasn’t been able to escape the third floor. They are losing too much time, and therefore food supplies are running out for them.
Their last meal was insect snacks and it had been a long time since they could fill their stomachs. So even though Laios wanted to rest, the Senshi told him to move to find a food source as soon as possible. This is when they entered a room full of paintings. And these paintings can take you to their world.
Once sucked in, you can’t get out without someone’s help and you could be stuck there forever. What’s interesting about these is that they have a fully functioning world inside, carrying with them memories, possibly of the royal family that lived in the palace many years ago, before they were cursed.
When Laios was in these paintings, we saw Prince Delgal’s life unfold, from his birth to his becoming a king. That’s not all, Laios was even recognized by an elf in this world for being an outsider. I suspect this character will be important later on.
But it’s not just Laios who goes on adventures in this episode, Chilchuck also gets to experience his fair share of thrills, which he doesn’t appreciate at all.
This anime is gradually becoming more interesting because it is a strange mix of grit, fun, and adventure. You never know what can happen inside a dungeon and our characters are constantly at the mercy of their fate with all the traps laid around. Plus, you also get a sense of curiosity about what might have happened to the palace’s original inhabitants.
Laios and the others were only on the third floor, and we saw quite a few strange creatures that could kill humans instantly. I can only imagine how dangerous the next level threats will be that they could eventually enter in the 7th episode.
Verdict
This was one of my favorite episodes because I didn’t expect to get a glimpse of the people who once lived in the palace. That part really made me curious about the curse as well as the history of the people there. Now, I’m looking forward to Laios going to the 4th floor and exploring a new world there.
