Delicious in Dungeon will launch its highly anticipated anime adaptation in two consecutive courses, with a trailer now revealed.
The first main trailer for Delicious in Dungeon has been released with English subtitles. Protagonist Laios sets out with his companions on an adventure to rescue his sister Falin, who has been eaten by a dragon. Presumed to still be alive, the trailer confirms Falin is voiced by famous voice actress Saori Hayami. Through the manga, Akira Miki and Shinji Kawada are also confirmed to be Namari the dwarf and Shuro, the tachi user, respectively.
Along with the announcement, the cast also released a message expressing their excitement for the film adaptation. Miki said, “The manga has come to its grand conclusion, but now we are looking forward to the TV anime adaptation.” She revealed the quality of the upcoming anime, calling it a work that respects the original work. This marks Miki’s first named role in a television anime. Saori Hayami (One Piece, Kakegurui) swaps her role as Ryuu in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon for another dungeon, as she reveals that she was attracted to Delicious in Dungeon’s “unique blend of serious, funny and touching” moments,” describing Falin as “very curious and has a kind, gentle heart.” Kawada (Shino Aburame, Naruto) admitted he was “completely caught up in the story!” and “Even though I am a loner, I want to give it my all while having fun showing off the serious and skilled swordsman Shuro!”
“Sleep Walking Orchestra” by BUMP OF CHICKEN has been chosen as the anime’s opening theme, while the ending theme has yet to be announced. Comic natalie reports that preview screenings of Delicious in Dungeon will be held from December 8, and the anime will be broadcast regularly from January to June 2024 in two consecutive batches.
