Neferpitou, commonly known as Pitou, is the First Royal Guard and one of the strongest Chimera Ants. After killing Kite, the humanoid creature becomes the target of Gon’s seething rage. Due to their exceptional loyalty to Meruem, they surrendered to the protagonists so they could use their Doctor Blythe abilities to heal Komugi. After Gon contracts Nen to achieve his infamous transformation, he brutally beats Pitou until Kien finally dies.
With his edits, u/beenumeditzz managed to make the cat-like creature look more sinister than ever. Although the battle with Kite is never shown in its entirety, the scene of Pitou caressing his head is a shocking confirmation of the Conjurer’s death. The monster’s smug expression conveys a sense of fear similar to that felt during Pokkle’s torture scene, which is arguably one of the most disturbing moments in the entire series.
The first anime adaptation of Hunter x Hunter aired in 1999 and ended with the Greed Island arc. In 2011, the story was rebooted into a new series that included the very popular Chimera Ant arc. Although this part of the story contains many iconic moments, nothing compares to the sad aftermath of Kite’s death. This is proven by beumeditzz’s impressive editing skills, making fans’ Hunter x Hunter cosplay look scarier than ever.
