Link Click dropped a shock bomb as revealed in the latest trailer announcing the official release date.
According to Redbeanime, Season 2 of the highly anticipated donghua movie Link Click has revealed a new trailer. The trailer appears to include most of the same scenes featured in the previous trailer back in April. It shared a sneak peek at what’s happened to Lu Guang since fans last saw him in Season 1. According to director Li Haoling, he decided to reuse similar scenes. himself in the trailer to avoid spoiling the story, as he knows fans have scoured previously released material for clues. Season 2 will officially premiere on July 14, although fans who attended Anime Expo can see the premiere on July 2, according to Redbeanime.

Straight into the action, the trailer opens with a scene where the haunted Qiao Ling claims the game has restarted as she stands on top of a severely injured Lu Guang. The trailer shows off a bunch of new characters, including the hooded pink-haired character seen in the anniversary trailer and a female detective showing off her hand-to-hand combat skills. Cheng Xiaoshi’s anxiety and despair for his friend permeates throughout the trailer, culminating in the final scene when the cell guard tells Cheng Xiaoshi that the “rescue failed. He died.”
The stunning main visual captures the mystery of the second season with a hooded figure standing in front of a portrait of Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi. Various characters roam around, including Qiao Ling, the mysterious man revealed in the first Season 2 trailer and possibly a new character wearing a wide-brimmed hat. Redbeanime’s caption translation describes how people who believe they’re unrelated to something are, in fact, related.
Produced by Be Dream with animation by Studio Lan, Link Click aired its first season in October 2020 with 12 episodes and one special. Donghua follows Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, who open a studio called Time Photo Studio with their friend Qiao Ling. The two use their ability to time travel into client photos in the hope of helping them release their regrets. Lu Guang establishes three rules when they work together, one of which is that they cannot change the past. As the two continue to work together and unravel everyone’s past, they unwittingly become the target of a dangerous man.
