Bucchigiri Episode 6 Review: A good episode was left out of this unusual but enjoyable anime after a long time. Read on to learn more.
Overview of Bucchigiri Volume 6
Bucchigiri?! is a new anime series and an original anime from MAPPA, the studio behind popular shows like Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen. The movie is scheduled to come out this January, so it’s almost here!
The series has been described as a return to the thug/Yanki anime genre, which was popular in the late 90s and early 2000s with shows like Cromartie High and Great Teacher Onizuka.
Directed by Hiroko Utsumi and story by Taku Kishimoto, the series also features music composition by Michiru Ōshima, while character designs are by Takahiro Kagami.
The opening theme, “Sesame” by Kroi, sets the tone and the ending theme will be Love je t’aime (らぶじゅてーむ)” by Mahiru Coda (甲田まひる).
I’ve tried my best to keep the review as spoiler-free as possible, but there are certain elements that I have to cover in order to give a proper response.

Review and summary of episode 6 of Bucchigiri: Fighting Bravely
This episode was definitely the most intense and promising of all the episodes we watched. The episode begins with intense action as it sees the two factions Minato Kai and Siguma Squad fighting. And the war inevitably begins with Marito and Ken. We also get brief background information on why Marito is so determined to defeat Ken.
Not only that, the fact that we see Arajin’s full resurrection is something I really didn’t expect. In the end, Arajin acts like the main character and takes matters into his own hands. We see a complete change in his thoughts and actions when he refuses to lose and decides to protect the weak. Even though his actions didn’t come from a very noble and heroic reason, we can still give him credit for finally getting his act together.
We also see a very brave side of Mahoro, who takes charge without a care in the world. Even though she is a girl who is completely at a disadvantage in an overpowered situation, she still stands her ground and angers her opponents with just words. Maybe now she will see Arajin in a different light and accept him more easily.
But one thing remains unresolved, which is the mystery behind the Honki, Ichiya, who possesses the Emperor. He hadn’t said a word yet, clearly wanting to fight Senya. On the other hand, Senya also really wanted to meet Ichiya but he did not reveal Ichiya’s presence to Arajin. There had to be some reason why he kept all the information about Ichiya a secret from his partner.
But just because Arajin showed great character in this episode doesn’t mean we’ll see similar activities from him in the future. That’s because he doesn’t care about anything other than Mahoro.
Identify
Today’s episode was quite interesting and I liked it more than the other episodes. The animation gets absolutely crazy and you can feel the intensity of the battles taking place on screen. Even though the Emperor can use a whip, he is quite strong and the fact that everyone has a hard time with him also proves how much stronger Arajin could become if he merged with Senya.
