A new teaser image has been released for the upcoming two-part Bocchi the Rock! general movie. Illustrated by character designer Kerorirathe promotional image features a smiling Nijika Ijichi playing a drum while bathed in golden light.
The first part of the film is scheduled to premiere in spring 2024 with the subtitle Re:, while Part 2 will hit Japanese theaters in the summer with the subtitle Re:Re:. A promotional video and Bocchi photos were released in October.

The Bocchi the Rock! anime series, adapted from the 4-koma manga published by Houbunsha publishing house Aki Hamaji, which premieres in October 2022 and ends with 12 episodes. The film follows the introverted Hitori “Bocchi” Gotoh, who becomes a skilled guitar player but remains clumsy and withdrawn. Her life begins to change when she is invited to join a band led by the cheerful Nijika.
Bocchi Rock! The manga began in 2018 and has six tankoubon volumes as of August 2023. It is serialized in Manga Time Kirara Max magazine and published under the Manga Time KR Comics label. A spin-off story revolving around a nearly drunk Kikuri Hiroi began serialization in July this year.
