The two players we should keep an eye on are Gagamaru and Barou. Both are at the selfish stage, when one is about to achieve a goal, while the other is about to block it. That chapter leans towards “An easy job”, creating hype for the next chapter, “The Raid Battle. Now let’s see what happens in Blue Lock Chapter 244.

This chapter starts from where it left off in chapter 223, and if you don’t remember, Isagi kicked the ball in the field to stop Barou. So the chapter starts with an Ubers throw-in, where Drago passes the ball to Lorenzo with Kaiser right behind him, trying to stop him from approaching Barou.
As soon as Lorenzo got the ball from Drago, he passed it to Snuffy. However, before Snuffy could do anything, Raichi got in front of him to block him from approaching the vertical post. We’ll then see a flashback where Isagi explains his plan to Raichi.
Isagi asks Raichi to pinpoint Snuffy and try to block his every move. Raichi tells him that it’s not easy to mark a player like Snuffy. Isagi tells him that what he’s asking is something only he can do (best way to convince someone) and that he wants him to be a normal roadblock, but is a protractor with a radius of 2 meters or less, like a semicircle.
Raichi is an idiot who doesn’t understand a single word Isagi said to him, so Isagi explains more to him. He tells Raichi to stand rotate 180 degrees like a semicircle within 2 meters in front of Snuffy, so if the balls get to Snuffy he can steal them or at least stop him from getting to Barou.
Isagi added to him that the most important thing is not to get the ball but to stay within 2 meters. He told him that this was his last chance, so if he missed it, he would be nothing but a laughing stock to the audience.
But if he does stop Snuffy, Jingo Raichi’s name will spread all over the internet to stop a world class player (Isagi, master at getting things done from other players). The chapter then switches to the present time, where Raichi is blocking Snuffy with his sexy protractor mode (He just named the move).

Snuffy tries to get past Raichi, but he doesn’t succeed. He commends Raichi for his persistence in stopping him. With no other choice, he had no choice but to give it to Niko. As soon as Niko got the ball, he passed it to Lorenzo.
Isagi had foreseen all of this, and it was going exactly as he had planned. Since he knew where the ball was headed, he was there to receive it. What he didn’t anticipate, however, was that someone interfered with him.

After Aiku gets the ball, he passes it to Barou and tells him to score. Gagamaru prepares for Barou’s upcoming goal. At the time, Gagamaru thought that Isagi did a good job of stopping him, and seeing Isagi trying so hard to win the match, he was motivated enough to stop Barou’s goal.
In the final panel of chapter 224, Barou is in his selfish King Barou form and is about to score, while Gagamaru is also in his selfish form to prevent Barou from scoring. And the chapter ends with the title of the next chapter, Raid Battle.
