A new character and cocktail image has been released for the upcoming Bartender: Glass of God anime series, highlighting the additional character Kuzuhara (voiced by Naoya Uchida) and a Manhattan. The anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2024.
The image lists the ingredients of a Manhattan cocktail as 3/4 rye whiskey, 1/4 sweet vermouth and a splash of aromatic bitters.

Ryouichi Kuraya (Farming Life in Another World) will direct the anime, with Mariko Kunisawa (Orient Season 2) serving as series writer and Youichi Ueda (High-Rise Invasion) as character designer and animation director. Liber is in charge of producing the animation.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast includes:

The anime is based on the original Bartender manga series, written by Araki Joh and illustrated by Kenji Nagatomo. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Super Jump and Grand Jump magazines from May 2004 to February 2011. A total of 21 tankoubon volumes have been released as of February 2012.
The manga inspired several subsequent titles such as Bartender à Paris in 2012, Bartender à Tokyo in 2013, and Bartender 6stp in 2016. All three series are illustrated by Osamu Kajisa.

The manga was previously adapted into a 2006 anime series and a 2011 television series. Shout! Factory and Anime Limited released the 2006 anime digitally and physically in North America in 2020.
Crunchyroll is streaming the 2024 animated series, with Prime Video describing the 2006 series’ synopsis as:
At Eden Hall bar, genius bartender Ryu Sasakura serves divine drinks and helps his customers solve any problems they encounter.
