The final episode of Attack on Titan received a new key visual.

According to Crunchyroll, the MAPPA Stage Show 2023 recently gave Attack on Titan fans their first look at the second half of Attack on Titan Final Season The Final Chapters. The event saw the studio unveil a poster featuring a unique image and a piece of text. The text can be roughly translated as “Goodbye Eren” about the main character, Eren Jaeger.

Attack on Titan’s Strangely Unexpected Key Visuals

The poster shows a lone bungalow in the middle of some greenery, with a wooden chair and table outside. Looming at the bottom of the image were two huge shadows that looked like giants. The shadows also seemed to be holding hands and walking towards the building. Flying above the cabin is a bird, reflecting the opening moments from the first episode of the show.

The MAPPA stage show also includes more Attack on Titan content in addition to the visual reveal. Voice actors Yuki Kaji (Eren Jaeger), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman) and Romi Park (Hange Zoe) participated in a live reading of some of the anime’s most famous scenes. The show’s director, Yuichiro Hayashi, also joined them. Hayashi said this new image will likely be the final image provided for the project.

Attack on Titan, based on the manga by Hajime Isayama, began airing in Japan in 2013 under Wit Studio. Then Studio MAPPA, who released the first half in December 2020, took over production of The Last Part. The final run for this franchise is split into several seasons, with the first two consisting of two seasons each, and the last consisting of two feature-length episodes. The last of these is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2023.

Studio MAPPA Stage Show 2023 has provided updates on many projects beyond the action-horror epic. For example, the show’s Jujutsu Kaisen, one of the anime’s dark trio of characters, and the Vinland Saga, which were inspired by actual Viking lore, both received trailers, the former introducing a third. two are coming and the latter shows the end of Season 2. However, fans of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man were disappointed after receiving no new updates on the project. In addition to the existing titles, the studio has announced that it will be producing a new anime titled Bucchigiri?!, which has also received a trailer.

All four seasons of Attack on Titan are available to watch on Crunchyroll.
