Yūki took a break from being a solo singer in 2017
Image via Aoni Production Voice actress and singer Aoi Yūki announced on Friday that she will restart her musical activities as a solo singer this year. She took a break from her solo career starting in 2017.
Yūki may get inspiration for her new music from messages from her Discord server.
Yūki explained that after her latest “petit” album Tokowaka no Kuni she felt that she had accomplished her goal and could not continue doing the same routine. She said continuing would be “discourteous to those who have enthusiastically cheered me on so far”.
“When I first started [với tư cách là một nghệ sĩ solo]I always thought of singing songs rather than being a voice actor playing a character” Yuki said. “With everyone’s support and the staff’s cooperation, what I want to say and doing gradually took shape and I made efforts to achieve Tokowaka no Kuni.”
Yūki debuted as a voice actress in 2003 and made her leading role in the anime Kurenai in 2008. Her other notable roles include Tsuyu Asui in My Hero AcadeKaren, Madoka Kaname in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Tanya Degurechaff in Saga of Tanya the Evil, Kayo Hinazuki in ERASED, Diane in The Seven Deadly Sins, Mami Nanami in Rent-A-Girlfriend, Futaba Sakura in Persona 5, Maya Fey in Ace Attorney and Tamaki Kotatsu in Fire Force. Additionally, she performed theme songs for several anime, often as a member of the singing duo petit milady with voice actress Ayana Taketatsu.
Tokowaka no Kuni, her third “petit” album and first solo album released two years after its release, shipped in December 2016.
