AnimEigo announced on Thursday that it will release Kitarō Kōsaka's Nasu: Summer in Andalusia for the first time on home video in North America in March 2025. The release will include a 37-minute interview with Kōsaka, as well as introductory and introductory videos.
The anime debuted in Japan in 2003, and focuses on Spanish cyclist Pepe, who is a support rider for the multi-stage team cycling race Vuelta a España in the Iberian Peninsula. He is distraught after overhearing that his sponsor intends to fire him from the team after the upcoming race. Additionally, the route is expected to pass through Pepe's hometown in the Andalusian region of Spain while Pepe's brother Ángel will marry Pepe's ex-girlfriend Carmen on the same day. The combination of events motivates Pepe to attempt to win the race for himself, as he realizes he has nothing left to lose.
Although this was the first anime series released in North America, Animax Asia had previously broadcast the anime in English in Southeast Asia. The anime was the first to be screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France, screening during the director's biweekly event in 2003. The anime is based on the manga Nasu by Iou Kuroda.
In 2007, Kōsaka directed Nasu: A Migratory Bird with a Suitcase, the Next Story.

AnimEigo will also release a new two-disc set for the original animated series Bubblegum Crisis next February. The new set will have lossless audio and will include an interview new with Kenichi Sonoda, the band Hurricane Live video, Bali Vacation video (featuring the voice actresses singing songs from the anime while in Bali), and new packaging. AnimEigo released Bubblegum Crisis in a DVD box set in 2004 and on remastered DVD singles in 2005. AnimEigo released the anime as an “Ultimate Edition Blu-ray Set” as part of a campaign Kickstarter in 2014 and then made the campaign available to non-backers. AnimEigo later released a standard edition Blu-ray Disc for the anime in 2018.
AnimEigo will release an HD remaster of the Bubblegum Crash anime on Blu-ray Disc on January 21, 2025. The three original video anime (OVA) episodes are sequels to the Bubblegum Crisis anime and debuted in 1991.
