The previously announced Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo (I’ll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History) revealed visuals and the 2024 premiere of the anime television adaptation. The anime’s official website also opened on Friday. The production studio, staff and cast have not yet been revealed.

The anime is based on the light novel written by Izumi Okido. It began being serialized as a web novel Shosetsuka ni Naro in December 2018. It was later acquired by Enterbrain, who began publishing it as a light novel under the light novel imprint Log B’s Bunko with illustrations by Jyun Hayase in August 2019. It currently has five books. volume in circulation. A manga adaptation illustrated by Akari Hoshi began serialization on Enterbrain’s B’s Log Comic manga website in May 2020 and currently has four volumes. Commemorative images of Okido and Hoshi’s Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo were released last August.
The series tells the story of Alicia, eldest daughter of the esteemed Williams family, a lineage famous for their mastery of dark magic. Although she is the embodiment of a villain, she still exists as a fictional character originating from an otome game. Meanwhile, a fervent fan of Alicia, an unnamed young woman, aspires to be her. Miraculously, her wish was granted through a special twist of fate involving a sleepy truck driver. This change results in her death and subsequent reincarnation as seven-year-old Alicia within the confines of the game.
