The film will premiere on October 25. The film revolves around Komaneko's first trip abroad. The film will be screened alongside the short films “Komaneko Hajime no Ippo”(Komaneko: The First Step),”Koma to Rajibo”(Koma and Rajibō) and the short film”Hontō no Tomodachi”(True Friends).
Tsuneo Gōda will direct the film and design the characters. Noriko Matsumoto is the executive producer, while Ayano Kinashi is credited as producer. Hirokazu Minegishi, Junko Negishi and Shūhei Harada are participating in the animation.
Tsuneo Gōda, creator of the famous NHK mascot character Domo-kun (Domo), conceived Komaneko in the 2003 short film “Komaneko Hajime no Ippo” (Komaneko: The First Step) for the Prime Minister's Museum of Photography. Tokyo capital with its Dwarf factory. Komaneko's popularity grew after Shibuya Cinema Rise in Tokyo screened the first of five Komaneko short films annually before screening the feature film in 2004.
