The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic anime adaptation has received its first full trailer, a trailer for protagonist Usato’s harsh training performed by Rescue Team leader Rose.
The release of the movie trailer comes with the reveal of the show’s January 2024 premiere and the announcement of Atsuko Tanaka will voice Rose. Besides, Hitoshi Fujima and Seima Kondou of Elements Garden has been announced as the composer for the anime.

How to Use Healing Magic Wrongly Started as a Web Novel by Kurokata debuted on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2014. A light novel series illustrated by KeG and was published under KADOKAWA’s MF Books label which ran from 2016 to 2020 with 12 volumes and has received a manga adaptation by Reki Kugayama.
One Peace Books, which publishes both light novels and manga in English, describes the former light novels as:
Usato, an ordinary high school student, stumbles across two classmates after school on a rainy day. Suddenly, the three of them were engulfed in a magic circle and transported to a fantasy world. There’s only one small problem―Usato just happened to be dragged along! On top of that, Usato learns that he has the ability to use healing magic – an ability extremely rare in this new world. Now Usato must spend his days with the thugs on the rescue team, grappling with their harsh training regimen – learning how to cast healing spells wrong. Get ready for a different fantasy world full of humor and combat!
Takahide Ogata (Motto! Majime ni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori) is directing the film along with Shougo Yasukawa (Otaku Elf) as the series composer and Kenji Tanabe (Blue Lock character designer) as the character designer. Studio Add and Shin-Ei Animation are co-producing.
Previously announced actors include Shougo Sakata as Usato, Ayaka Nanase as Suzune, Kengo Takanashi as Kazuki and Saya Aizawa as Amako.
