The final episode of Buddy Daddies choked fans’ hearts, making them scream and cry at the same time.
Episode 12, “Daughter Daddies”, which aired on March 31, revealed the fate of the established family consisting of Rei, Kazuki, and Miri. The penultimate episode leaves many wondering how the Buddy Daddies will deal with the various storylines, especially since the Suwa family refuses to let him go, intending to let Rei inherit the organization, thus making Miri and Kazuki was in danger. After nearly losing Miri, Rei and Kazuki realize that they want to dedicate themselves to becoming Miri’s father and must now find a way to separate themselves from the life of assassins. The final episode of Buddy Daddies reveals where the ragtag family is now after a hiatus.
The passage of time shows that Kazuki and Rei have successfully given up their role as assassins and decided to open a restaurant together called Diner Nest, with Rei being known for his signature French toast. . Ten years have passed, and Rei’s shadow has disappeared from his eyes, now the viewer is presented with a much lighter ex-assassin with long hair. Meanwhile, Kazuki was also growing his hair out—from his chin. Miri is getting ready for her first day of high school and drags her two dads out for a commemorative photo, which will soon join others capturing every special event in ten years. them together, from Miri receiving her first backpack to Suwa-Kazuki’s second family Christmas, they were able to take family photos for the first time.
Buddy Daddy viewers love the finale
Buddy Daddies fans have expressed their joy on Twitter, most notably the period of skipping. @/hunieday wrote while sobbing, “THE GROWTH I CRY MY FAMILY.” Another person, @liloloveyou024, posted a meme in which they thank the anime for changing their lives, affectionately calling Kazuki, Rei and Miri their “funny little family”, despite the fact that they were just is a fictional family. @/stellarharus congratulated Kazuki and Rei on the beginning of their careers as Miri’s father, writing, “I CRY THEM ARE DA Dads. [FOR REAL] NOW AAAA I LOVE THEM SM.”
Animated by PA Works (The Aquatope on White Sand and Ya Boy Kongming!) and produced by Aniplex and Nitroplus, Buddy Daddies premiered on January 7, 2023. Directed by director Yoshiyuki Asai and written by a screenplay. Vio Shimokura, Buddy Daddies received a considerable amount of anticipation as it took place after the end of Spy x Family and featured an established family with both assassin fathers, similar to the anime. Adapted from the manga by Tatsuya Endo. The film follows assassins/roommates Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa, who happen to find themselves the father of a precocious little girl named Miri, the daughter of a target to assassinate the gang boss they both had kill.
