Jujutsu Kaisen, the popular dark fantasy series by Gege Akutami, is coming to an end after five chapters. With the series reaching an all-time high in popularity, a popular social media account sharing news and spoilers about the series is taking the spotlight from online celebrities like Mr. Beast and even political figures like Joe Biden, the 46th President of the United States.
Similarweb, a global digital data and web analytics company, shared the results of the 10 most popular accounts on X (formerly Twitter), as measured by traffic share. Topping the list is Elon Musk, the current owner of X, which he acquired in 2022 in a $44 billion deal that was recently called “the worst bank acquisition since the financial crisis” by The Wall Street Journal. Among the online personalities, celebrities, and politicians is @/Go_Jover, a Jujutsu Kaisen fan account, which ranked fifth on the list. According to Similarweb, @/Go_Jover received more traffic shares than both the most popular YouTuber and the current US president.

It's not uncommon for fan accounts to go viral on X, such as @/sandman_AP, who shares behind-the-scenes information about One Piece and translates Japanese interviews with series creator Eiichiro Oda and others involved with the series. However, it's not every day that a Shonen Jump fan account beats the current President of the United States in terms of online visibility. It's also another example of the powerful influence the Jujutsu Kaisen series currently has on pop culture around the world. In April, Guinness World Records declared Jujutsu Kaisen the most requested anime series of 2023 in terms of global viewership and engagement.
Similar to the One Piece fan account mentioned above, @/Go_Jover has gained immense popularity for reporting news related to the Jujutsu Kaisen series, such as delays, cover announcements, collaborations, and more. However, the social media account also shares leaked information about the latest chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen before their official worldwide release—a risky move, given the recent crackdowns on those responsible for obtaining and publishing leaked Shonen Jump publications online.
