A new summer illustration has been revealed for the TV series Failure: I Became the Strongest and Destroyed Everything with Low-Level Magic. The 12-episode series premiered in Japan on July 5, 2024.

Michio Fukuda (Tesla Note) will direct the anime, with Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Chained Soldier) serving as series writer, Kanna Hashidate (Extreme Hearts co-animation director) as character designer and chief animation director, and Tatsuhiko Saiki (The Dawn of the Witch) as composer. Seven Arcs is the animation production company, with SynergySP providing animation co-production.
Meanwhile, the anime's main voice cast includes:
• Ryota Suzuki as Toka Mimori • Saki Miyashita as Seras Ashrain • Ayumi Tsukui as Piggymaru • Ami Koshimizu as Vicius
The anime is based on the isekai novels written by Kaoru Shinozaki and illustrated by KWKM. The series was first published by Overlap Bunko on July 25, 2018, and has released 12 volumes as of July 2024, along with a short story collection. The light novel began serialization on Shosetsuka ni Naro on November 4, 2017.
The series also received a manga adaptation, written by Keyaki Uchi-Uchi and illustrated by Sho Uyoshi in 2019, with Shinozaki credited with the original story. Seven Seas Entertainment released the Failed Frame light novels and manga in English.

Crunchyroll is streaming Fatal Frame worldwide outside of Japan, and the summary description is:
Touka has always faded into the background at school. And when he was summoned to another world along with his classmates, that didn't change! They all acquired top-notch skills, except for Touka, who was deemed a failure by the goddess Vicius and was thrown into ancient ruins by the goddess Vicius. It turns out that his low-level skills might not be so useless after all. Now, he's seeking revenge on the goddess and his true nature has been revealed.
