The iconic shojo manga Sailor Moon has received brand new birthday artwork from original author Naoko Takeuchi for the franchise's official store. The new color illustrations celebrate the birthdays of two of the manga's most beloved characters, Usagi Tsukino and Chibiusa.

Sailor Moon's official store is home to many new and exclusive items
The Sailor Moon store in Tokyo is home to many of Takeuchi's original artworks, especially a 200-page compendium of more than 700 illustrations from her decades-long career: Sailor Moon: Raisonne Art Works (1991-2023). Inside the store, fans will find framed highlights of Raisonne artwork and new artworks regularly debuting in unique ways, such as the Store's Original Mugs Sailor Moon. Earlier this year, Takeuchi also released four new illustrated postcards featuring Usagi Tsukino, Chibiusa Tsukino (Black Lady form) and Mamoru Chiba. These have a special effect, creating auroras when exposed to light.
This aurora effect is becoming a staple of new items at the Sailor Moon Store; two new store exclusive t-shirts were released in-store and online on June 22, 2024. While fans were spoiled with white and black colorways, the effect was The beautiful optic on the front logo is still an effect that creates a rainbow on the move. The store also sells bottles, cups, statues, and even lucky charms, many of which feature designs for both Usagi and Chibiusa.
