Show writer Yūki Yaku will write the novels, with the first novel adaptation of the first four episodes debuting on May 20

Shogakukan is listing a novel series for Doga Kobo's original Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night (Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai) television anime series, with the first novel covering volumes 1-4 to follow. on May 20. Screenwriter Yūki Yaku (Junior Character Tomozaki), the main author and screenwriter of the original anime is also writing the novel.
Niko Fujii's manga adaptation also launched on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app on April 7.
The anime premieres on April 6 on TOKYO MX and BS11 at 25:00 JST (actually April 7 at 1:00 a.m. JST or April 6 at 12:00 p.m. EDT) . HIDIVE is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan.

Shibuya is a city full of character. It was here, on the late-night streets of Shibuya, that illustrator Mahiru Kozuki, former idol Kano Yamanouchi, Vtuber Kiui Watase, and composer Mei Kim Anouk Takanashi—four young women somewhat unfamiliar with the world—came together. together formed an anonymous artist group called JELEE. “I” also want to shine like anyone else. If it's not me but “we” then we can shine.
JELEE is credited with composing the original work and Ryohei Takeshita (Eromanga Sensei) is directing the series at Doga Kobo. popman3580 is the original character designer, and Junichirō Taniguchi (Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story, Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru) is adapting those designs for animation. Yūki Yaku (junior character light novel author Tomozaki) is writing and supervising the series' scripts.
KanoeRana performed the anime's opening theme song titled “Irodori” (coloring), and singer Anna Tsurushima performed the ending theme song “Ichi-nichi wa 25-jikan” (One day is 25 hour). Musician 40mP produced an insert song for unknown artist “JELEE” in the anime's story. Pop pianist and YouTuber Haramichan is handling the piano performances heard in the series.
