Netflix revealed on Thursday that Ultraman: Rising, it and the upcoming Ultraman CG animated film from Tsuburaya Productions, will premiere on June 14. The company has revealed the key art for the film.

Shannon Tindle (animator of Coraline, Kubo and the Two Strings) will make her directorial debut with this film, with John Aoshima as co-director. Tsuburaya Productions and Industrial Light and Magic are credited as production companies. Tindle also co-wrote the film with Marc Haimes. Tom Knott is credited as producer and LiSA Poole is co-producer. The film is based on the characters of Eiji Tsuburaya (Godzilla, Ultraman).
The staff is aiming to cast “a mix of Japanese and Western stars, along with a large amount of lower-level talent from Japan.” The cast includes Christopher Sean, Gedde Watanabe , Tamlyn Tomita, Keone Young and Julia Harriman.

Netflix previously launched the Ultraman CG anime based on Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi’s Ultraman (2011 manga) in April 2019. Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki directed the anime at Production IG The final season of the Ultraman Final anime is out now. Netflix worldwide on May 11.
Studio Khara’s Shin Ultraman debuted in Japan in May 2022 and ranked No. 1 in its first weekend. The film earned a total of $601,490 when it opened in the United States in January 2023. It also played in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Canada.
