As we know, most of the gods in Record of Ragnarok hate humanity and even want to quickly start the apocalypse they themselves created. However, there are a handful of gods who do not hate humans. Who are they?
1. Hercules
Heracles was one of the first gods to show his affection for humanity. He himself said he planned not to lose, but promised to help humanity avoid destruction. This god even proves that his feelings are never selective.
This is not surprising, because Heracles was originally a human in the past, but underwent awakening to become a god after drinking Ambrosia.
2. Thor
Unlike Heracles, Thor basically doesn't care much about humans. All he cares about is a fun fight and an evenly matched opponent. Despite this, Thor still upholds the value of chivalry.
He doesn't like it when people look down on the sacrifices of warriors, even if it's humanity. He didn't even hesitate to stop Odin for that reason.
3. Susano'o no Mikoto
If it was just respect, then perhaps the gods' attitude towards humans could still be understood. But in the case of Susano'o, it is different, he is the only god to date who not only respects, but even considers humanity as his teacher.
Susano'o is known to have left his position as the god ruling over the earth, to study swordsmanship from various histories, including the Bakumatsu era where the Shinsengumi existed. Therefore, Brunhilde even argued that Susano'o was the god who best understood human potential.
4. Hades
Unlike Zeus and Poseidon, Hades is shown to have no hatred for humans. He himself also gave the reason that he just wanted revenge for his younger brother's death. Despite saying so, Hades remained calm throughout the battle.
Hades even respected Qin Shi Huang because they both clearly understood their position as kings in their respective worlds. The god of the underworld was even impressed because his opponent seemed to share Poseidon's view of what a king should be.
5. Buddha
The case of the Buddha can be said to be the most surprising in terms of his biased nature towards humanity. Initially, he was shown as someone who did not lean too much to one side. However, at the opening of the 6th round, the god suddenly switched from the divine side to the human side.
Up to now, he has also frequently acted openly against the gods, such as when Buddha did not really respect his opponents Loki and the Bishamonten group.
Buddha's rebellious attitude is not surprising because Buddha himself has the same origin as Heracles, that is, a man who has reached the realm of gods.
