Hello everyone, this is an interesting anime series based on the manga by Tamiki Wakaki, author of The World God Only Knows. But instead of adopting the manga’s plot, Aniplex and Studio Silver decided to create an original story starring Konoha Akisato.
Anyway, Konoha is stuck working at a third-rate game company that only makes cheap porn games with little to no plot. The reason why her company makes games to cater to kinky fetishes like hypnosis and MILFs is because people don’t buy eroges for the exciting storyline. They like to play gacha games or watch Vtubers who also play gacha games, although some of them play eroges despite the all-ages version.
As mentioned, Akisato is having a miserable life as she is trapped in a company that dares not dream. On top of that, Konoha is struggling to gain social media popularity with its illustrations. As far as I can see, that’s not a great outlook on her life right now.
Until one day, Konoha Akisato came across a store selling classic games. Hmm, why would someone open a shop on the corner?
But anyway, Konoha went to the classic game store to find the First Edition of Kanon… for only 100 yen. Why would the owner sell a rare copy in mint condition, where it is worth more?
With that said, it looks like Konoha Akisato will have to tell the owner how great Kanon is, from the heartbreaking story to many different situations. characters appearing in the visual novel.
Unfortunately, the store owner is an old lady who knows nothing about visual novels, let alone eroges. Come on, she’s supposed to be selling Japanese snacks, not visual novels… unless she’s not the real owner but someone else.
Anyway, I think the old lady likes to hear Akisato’s stories about how great visual novels are, especially when there’s a hot plot that goes beyond just exposing breasts and butts.
Sadly, it seems like the old lady and her classic game store disappeared after Konoha visited it once. Wait, there’s no way that old lady could pack her things and leave in the blink of an eye!
On the other hand, the old lady left something for Akisato as a gift of gratitude. I wonder what’s inside that bag?
Oh, and all sorts of eroge titles from Key’s Kanon to Elf’s Doukyuusei. Aniplex and Studio Silver must be commended for including some licensed visual novels in this anime.
But let’s go back to Konoha Akisato where upon opening the Doukyuusei clone, a beam of light shot straight at her. I have a bad feeling about this…
Now let’s move to another setting where a group of programmers are creating a game during the holiday season. You have Meiko Uehara, who is trying to fix the error but she can’t figure it out.
That’s when Mamoru Rokuta came in to fix the problem, but Mamoru-kun wanted to complain about how his beloved NEC PC-9801 was having a hard time running smoothly.
By the way, Mamoru Rokuta is a genius programmer, but he’s so fed up with programming visual novels that Mamoru-kun plans to quit after the game ends.
But then, Rokuta meets some girl and-Wait, isn’t that Konoha Akisato? What’s going on at the end of Episode 1!?
Not only that, Konoha was really shocked to learn that Blue Bell, the company she was working for, did not exist. Unfortunately, even the office building doesn’t appear.
That’s when I discovered that Konoha had been transported back to 1992, meaning she had traveled 31 years into the past. Oh my god, I’m watching Bokutachi no Remake! again?
So, here’s an interesting original anime story based on the world of Sensation 16bit. While I wish Aniplex and Studio Silver would come up with a proper anime adaptation of the manga, I want to see if their gamble of using the original anime plot will pay off. Anyway, see you in the next episode.
