A new teaser trailer has been released for the Zegapain anime film sequel Zegapain STA (short for “Statement Alpha”). The film is expected to hit theaters in Japan this coming Summer 2024.
The 30-second trailer briefly highlights the main characters involved in the film’s story.

The trailer also lists the anime film’s production staff, including some returning staff from the 2006 television anime. Masami Shimoda (11eyes, Future Folktales) returns as director, with Katsuhiko Takayama ( Overtake!, Protocol: Rain) as screenwriter. Akihiko Yamashita (Cagaster of an Insect Cage) will return from the television series as the film’s character designer, working alongside Tatsuya Suzuki (Valvrave the Liberator) and Marie Tagashira (Mobile Suit Gunma: The Witch from Mercury).
Rei Nakahara, Noriyuki Jinguji, Takahiro Yamada and Hideki Fukishima will serve as mechanical designers for the film. Ayako Ootsuka (Aquarion Evol) is the composer and Sunrise is the animation production company.
In addition, the trailer also revealed that Kengo Kawanishi will join the film as Hal Velt. He joins many voice actors from the television series who are reprising their roles for the film, including:

The Zegapain STA announcement is part of the Zegapain Project Reunion, which will take place in October 2023. It involves a rerun of the 2016 Zegapain ADP compilation film and a rebroadcast of the TV series.

The Zegapain anime series ran for 26 episodes from April 6, 2006 to September 28, 2006. It was created by the team Sunrise Yatate and Takehiko Itou. Sentai Filmworks acquired the license for the anime in 2013 from Bandai Entertainment.
