Mission Yozakura Family episode 2 review: Taiyo Must Step Up
Taiyo was eventually adopted into the Yozakura family. And, no one is bitter about it other than Mutsumi's eldest brother, Kyoichiro, who is absolutely furious that Mutsumi chose someone like Taiyo. But what has been done cannot be undone and now, Taiyo must establish his place in the Yozakura family by becoming a proper husband to Mutsumi.
Taiyo wakes up in the house to surprise and a knife stuck in his throat from his oldest brother-in-law. Here, he and Mutsumi are also attacked by bombs and Kyoichiro finally reveals the main mission of the Yozakura family. The Yozakura family lineage can be traced back to the Edo period as a family of famous spies. They have created some of the best and most powerful warriors ever but their family has a secret. Every member of the Yozakura family is born with special talents and powers while only one of them is born without any abilities. This person is the most important person, because they are the one who becomes the head of the family.
And in this generation, Mutsumi is the 10th person of the Yozakura family. This is also why protecting her is so important, as the leader of a famous spy clan makes her a frequent target. All the siblings are there to protect Mutsumi 24/7 but now that Taiyo is officially her husband, the duty also falls on him. Therefore, Taiyo will have to try his best to learn everything from his wife's parents so that he can become a shield for his wife.
This episode reveals much of the Yozakura family's background. It also confirms Mutsumi's importance and why everyone, especially Kyoichiro, is so protective of her. The tone of the episode is mostly comedic but when things get serious, we see what a villain Kyoichiro truly is. The episodes are all mildly entertaining and we have yet to see a single heated argument scene, but this is actually a very funny and enjoyable anime.

Verdict
I like this series more and more because it reminds me of Spy x Family. We get some good fights plus some fun moments and witnessing family relationships. Now that Taiyo is the husband, he will have to go through quite an intense training process and we will most likely see that starting from the next episode.
