You are experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story – Anime Trailer
Hideaki Ooba is directing the film at studio ENGI with Hiroko Fukuda writing the script. Yosuke Ito is the character designer, Kei Haneoka is composing the music, and Takeshi Takadera is in charge of sound direction. The anime previously revealed summer-themed visuals featuring the characters Runa Shirakawa, Nikoru Yamana, and Akari Tanikita.

The anime is based on the light novel Our Dating Story: You Are Experienced and I am Inexperienced (Keiken Zumi na Kimi to, Keiken Zero na Ore ga, Otsukiai suru Hanashi) written by Makiko Nagaoka and illustrated by Magako. Fujimi Shobo’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko has been serializing the series since September 2020. Square Enix’s Gangan Online web service is publishing the manga adaptation with illustrations by Noyama Carpaccio.
Manga Up! licensed the manga in English, describing the plot as:
Introverted high school student Ryuto is forced to confess his love to his crush, the most popular and beautiful girl in school, Luna. Surprised, she replied, “So let’s go out, shall we? Anyway, I’m single right now.” Then right after class, she invited Ryuto into her room…?!
Despite being completely different, including their experiences with love and the types of friends they have, the two of them are still about to embark on a relationship full of firsts!
