Let's see what ANN readers think is the best (and worst) of the season, based on polls you can find in our Daily Streaming Review section and on our Scores page with the latest simulcasts.
Keep in mind that these rankings are based on how people rated individual episodes of the current season, not on the overall quality or popularity of the show. Only titles that are legally streamed in North America and popular enough are ranked, so the bottom of the list may represent 'watchable' rather than 'terrible'. See the notes for more details.

Ranking the episodes for the week of September 2-8
Along with the actual rankings for this week’s episodes, this chart tracks how they change from week to week. While some shows are stable, others fluctuate wildly in the rankings based on the strength of their episodes. When a show doesn’t have an episode in a given week, the previous week’s episode is used as a placeholder. The first episode of each show is considered part of the first week, even if it was actually streamed in the second week. Click on the numbers to highlight a particular series.
Cumulative series ratings as of September 8
Each week's rankings will take into account the scores of the previous week's episodes. As we get closer to the end of the season, each series' rankings will start to solidify and we'll be looking at the real winners and losers. Click on the numbers to highlight a particular series.
Note
Disclaimer: The rankings are just averages of opinions, published for entertainment and informational purposes. ANN makes no claims about statistical significance or ability to be free from spam.
The rankings are calculated using the Pairwise Ranking Method, with a variation where unranked titles are considered blank votes rather than lower than ranked titles. This roughly means that if out of all the people who ranked both A and B, 60% preferred A, then it would be ranked higher than B.
The rankings show relative quality (A is preferred over B), not absolute quality (B is good/bad). While the titles are ranked from 'best' to 'worst', sometimes the difference between #1 and #10 can be razor-thin. So if your favorite is near the bottom of the list, don't take it personally. It doesn't mean it's a bad show, it just means ANN readers generally like the shows above.
If a show doesn't have an episode in a given week, we'll use the ratings data for the previous week's episode to calculate the weekly rank. This doesn't officially count as a ranking position (it doesn't affect the cumulative ranking), but it makes it easier to compare weeks if each week has the same number of rated series.
It's important to note that long-running series (and their sequels) have the advantage that only people who like the show will watch it, and they're likely to rate each episode highly. But if a series goes through a period of low-quality additions, the season will have low ratings, which isn't a true reflection of the overall quality of the show. Conversely, fewer people are rating the show, so it's less likely to have enough votes to qualify for a rating.
