Let’s see what ANN readers think was the best (and worst) of the season, based on polls you can find in our Daily Streaming Review and on our Score page. you with the latest information transmitted simultaneously.
Keep in mind that these ratings are based on how people rate individual episodes of the current season, not on the overall quality or popularity of the series. Only titles that are legal to stream in North America and are popular enough will be ranked, so the bottom end of the list might represent ‘watchable’ rather than ‘bad’. See notes for more details.

Rating of episodes for the week of August 26 to September 1
Along with the actual rankings for this week’s episodes, this chart documents the position changes from week to week. While some series are stable, others fluctuate wildly in the rankings depending on the strength of each episode. When a series has no episodes in a given week, the previous week’s episode is used as a placeholder. The first episode of each series is considered part of the first week, even if it is actually streamed during the second week. Click on the numbers to highlight a specific series.
Cumulative series ratings as of September 1
Each week’s ratings take into account the scores of the previous week’s episodes. As we near the end of the season, each series’ rankings will begin to solidify and we’ll take a look at the real winners and losers. Click on the numbers to highlight a specific series.
Note
Disclaimer: the rankings are only an average of opinions, published for entertainment and information purposes. ANN makes no claims about statistical significance or immunity to spam.
Rankings are calculated using the Schulze method, with the variation that unrated titles are considered abstains instead of being lower than rated titles. This roughly means that if out of all the people who rated both A and B, 60% liked A, then it would be ranked higher than B.
Rank indicates relative quality (A is preferred over B), not absolute quality (B is good/bad). Although the titles are ranked from ‘best’ to ‘worst’, sometimes the difference between number 1 and number 10 can be very thin. So if your favorites are near the bottom of the list, don’t take it personally. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad show, it just means that ANN readers generally prefer these shows.
If a series has no episodes in a given week, we will use the ratings data for the previous week’s episodes to calculate the weekly ratings. This doesn’t officially count as a ranking position (it doesn’t affect cumulative rankings), but makes it easier to compare weeks if each week has the same number of ranked series.
It should be noted that the series (and its sequels) has the advantage that only people who enjoy the series will watch it, and they are likely to appreciate each episode. But if such a series goes through a period of low-quality additions, the season will have a low rating, which does not reflect the true overall quality of the series. Conversely, there are fewer program reviewers, so it’s less likely to get enough votes to qualify for a rating.
