The compilation film Yohane the Parhelion: Sunshine in the Mirror is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on November 29 JST. The trailer and key visual have also been released.
Comic Natalie reports that the film's theatrical run will last three weeks and will be shown in 30 locations nationwide.
The Yohane the Parhelion: The Mirror of Sunshine is a television anime that aired during the Summer 2023 anime season. It is a fantasy spin-off of the Love Live! Sunshine!! school idol anime. Crunchyroll describes the premise as follows:
This young fortuneteller is desperate to escape her boring small town life. With dreams of becoming a famous singer in Tokyo, Yohane finally decides to make it happen. Unfortunately, she fails every audition and is forced to move back to her rural seaside home. But little does she know that it is here that she embarks on a magical journey to discover the song within herself.
Yohane the Parhelion began as an illustrated series in 2020. Kouta published by KADOKAWA Illustrated Manga Matsuda's spin-off, titled Genjitsu no Yohane -Un Polarized Reflexion-, began serialization in 2022. The spin-off has also inspired a 2D metroidvania and a roguelike deck builder.
