Mitsumi Matsuzaki, the artist who adapted the Yatagarasu manga, will join the production team of the upcoming Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai anime after it was discovered that the series borrowed its setting from the manga even though it was adapted from a novel . The original novel was written by Chisato Abe and published by Bungeishunju, while Kodansha is in charge of the manga. Matsuzaki will be credited with coming up with the design concept and serving as assistant director.
NHK, NHK Enterprises and Pierrot announced that after a round of discussions with Abe and Matsuzaki, as well as Kodansha and Bungeishunju, they were able to come to an agreement allowing them to use the manga's setting and setting in the future. Kodansha also released a statement, saying that the copyright of the work belongs to the authors and that they simply followed procedures to get appropriate credit for design and direction, as requested by both Matsuzaki and Abe.
