WWE’s Zelina Vega showed off her love of anime by wearing a Demon Slayer-inspired outfit at the start of the WrestleMania weekend.
The wrestling superstar recently attended the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in an anime-inspired outfit, which she later showed off on Instagram. Her outfit is a combination of a corset and a black lace-up skirt, with motifs from the Demon Slayer’s Daki – the villain in the “Amusement Zone”. The outfit includes a pink patterned belt that goes across it, creating a dangerous belt that the character uses as a near-invincible weapon.
The WWE superstar also took a look at her fingernails, which featured detailed illustrations of Daki in her complete demon form. The villain used this form when she fought against the characters of Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu and Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui in the second season of the show. Vega’s Hall of Fame outfit perfectly embodies Daki’s dark and powerful personality.
Zelina Vega’s epic cosplays
This isn’t the first time Vega – whose real name is Thea Trinidad Budgen – has shown her taste in clothing, as she has a history of using pop culture references in her outfits. She has previously appeared in cosplays of characters such as Madara and Itachi Uchiha from the Naruto and Rock Lee series from the same franchise. She has also branched out into other genres, such as gaming, dressing like Jade from Mortal Kombat and Vega from Street Fighter in previous cosplays. Vega also recently acted as a presenter for the Crunchyroll Anime Awards and was announced as a commentator for Street Fighter 6.
The post includes photos of the anime-loving wrestler with other notable names, including Hall of Famer legend Trish Stratus, who recently performed at WrestleMania 39. Also, the former partner on On screen, Andrade Cien Almas – who currently wrestles as Andrade El Idolo for All Elite Wrestling – was pictured, as was her husband, another AEW performer known as Malakai Black.
Demon Slayer will return for a much-anticipated third season on April 9. It will focus on the “Swordsmith Village” part, following Tanjiro and Nezuko as they enter the main village and fight alongside two Hashiras. Previous seasons are streaming on Crunchyroll, with “Unwavering Resolve” and “Mugen Train” also available on Netflix.WWWrestleMania and the HOF ceremony are also available on Peacock in the US and the WWE Network in the UK.
