A week after Insomniac Games was attacked by hackers, many of this company’s projects were revealed. In particular, there is a new game project called Wolverine (werewolf).
In early December, Insomniac Games suffered a ransomware attack from the notorious hacker group Rhysida. The attackers claimed to have access to many confidential documents such as employee information or upcoming project content.
While Insomniac Games has yet to comment on the incident, Sony has officially confirmed that the company is looking into the attack. Unfortunately, the latest batch of leaks shows that the situation is getting much more difficult for the PlayStation maker and its studio.
At the time of writing, the majority of the leaked data is focusing on the upcoming Wolverine game. Information about Marvel’s Wolverine cast shows that classic characters related to this franchise such as Sabretooth and Deathstrike are present. In addition, test footage, sketches as well as a supposed alpha build of the game were also made public.
On hacker forums, the Rhysida group said they were putting great pressure on Sony and Insomniac Games, forcing the producer duo to pay to keep the stolen information secret. Currently, Sony has not made any comments regarding the Wolverine leak.
