Review and summary of episode 6 of The Witch And The Beast – A Good Witch?
In this episode, we see another side of this anime world. Here there is a huge international organization called the universal holy church, which even maintains one of the largest magical armies called the Paladin Corps. These highly trained soldiers are experts in solving magical crimes and handling related matters. But behind this organization there is a dark side that they hide from ordinary people. Now they are basically opponents of the magical resonance order. This means that Ashaf and Guideau will have to complete their mission by fighting the Paladin Corps.
Like every other episode we have seen in this anime, this time too, we have to focus on a new presence. We see an entire military organization run by the mysterious Commander Matt Kuga, who is confident that he can capture the witch on his own without any assistance. This mission is extremely important because the person he is dealing with is not just an ordinary witch, she is Helga Velvett, a descendant of an origin known as the Velvett Queen.
This witch seems very weak, but she carries weapons with the power of mass destruction. This episode starts off again with a lot of information, which has become the norm for every episode. Gradually, it’s world building and I appreciate the knowledge because more information means the plot will be more dense. However, sometimes, it feels like there are too many details and we don’t see much action but just hear the stories.
What’s interesting about this anime is that we gradually realize that witches are not the only problem in this world. Yes, some bad witches do more harm than good, but there’s a reason why many of them lash out at humans. Many witches want nothing more than to be left alone. It’s just that society is so prejudiced against them that they have to run away from everyone.
Here we also see a witch who is said to be evil who is not. And the people who are supposed to be protectors act a lot like villains.
Verdict
I thought this episode was pretty good. Here, I don’t have much to say because we are constantly fed information about what is happening on the screen. Most likely, in the next episode we will see more action and it will get more intense from then on.
