Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 7 Review: Episode 7 is intense with some of the best action scenes you'll ever see. Let's see how it all plays out.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 6 Summary
The episode starts with a tense confrontation between Will and Sion, and things don't look too promising for our heroes. We also get a glimpse into their past, showing a time when Sion's attitude towards Will was very different. Initially, Sion wasn't as hostile or determined to get rid of Will as he is now.
Sion really didn't like seeing others mock Will. He wanted Will to join his side and become his ally, believing that it would protect him from further harassment. However, Will refused this path, much to Sion's displeasure. On top of that, Will's indifference to anyone in the organization, coupled with his constant desire to climb the tower to reach Elfaria, only deepened the rift between them.
Throughout the tournament, Sion overwhelmed Will with his stunning display of magic. Meanwhile, Colette struggled to hold her ground against Julius. Unfortunately, this level of magic was not what the tournament's audience, who had come to scout for new talent, had anticipated. However, one thing became clear—Sion's mastery of fire magic far exceeded that of an ordinary student.
The battle between Will and Sion reaches a dramatic climax when Sion finally reveals his true feelings. He admits how hurt he was by Will's constant disregard, frustrated by being ignored despite his attempts to reach out. It becomes clear that Will, believing that no one will accept him, has isolated himself and focused solely on his goals.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 7 Review And Recap
First, we see Elfaria awakened by her help and informed of a new talent, Julius, who would be perfect as her successor. However, she quickly declares that she doesn't need a successor, just a single sword.
Back in the arena, Will is clearly struggling against Julius and his many doppelgangers, who can also use magic. They are not shadows, but fully functional copies of Julius, who can deal the same amount of damage as the original. This magic is very close to Will's heart, as it is one of the 12 spells Elfaria herself created.
After using this, Julia began to badmouth Elfaria about how he was able to quickly copy the magic that someone of Elfaria's caliber had created. This meant that she was not talented enough and Julius was too broken. Hearing this, Will flew into a rage, but was quickly stopped by the extremely brutal nature of Julius' magic.
However, this was definitely not the end of the story as Will quickly got up from his exhausted state and finally cooled down. He informed Julius that his version of Elfaria's magic was flawed. Julius was also exposed because he couldn't really control the spell well and had to use the power of his friends to keep the doppelgangers at bay. Not only that, Will also informed him that this was a spell Elfaria came up with when she was two years old, so he shouldn't compare himself to someone so talented.
The aftermath of the battle is something you should see for yourself.
Verdict
Today's episode was another exciting one as we watched Will go from a loser to someone who could be on par with Julius. He also proved that you don't need magic to be considered powerful. But it's still unclear whether he'll be allowed to graduate or not because something happened at the end. The animation, as usual, was spectacular.
