Reasons why the anime Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is temporarily suspended
There have not been any announcements regarding this anime Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is on hiatus work. However, the delay is mainly due to production issues, as revealed in the manufacturer’s official statement. Throughout the schedule, episodes were released on schedule in Japan but the next day on streaming services elsewhere.
According to Sakuga Blog, “If there’s one thing Kojima’s team has been famous for among those who closely follow the industry, it’s their deeply unbalanced products. Especially under Kawagoe, they put together ambitious beginnings that they had no way of pursuing.”
“Be it part of an overworked OLM or now a technically independent Bug Films with only a few dozen employees of their own, they simply have no way to maintain this level of the speed at which Kojima intends to release titles.”
Hiroaki Kojima officially founded BUG FILMS in September 2021. This Tokyo-based production studio has been involved in the development of several popular anime shows. Notably, they have collaborated in the films Komi Can’t Communication (2021) and Summer Time Rendering (2022).
Their current project, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, is their first on their own. They have collaborated with OLM on their previous works. However, due to Zom 100’s indefinite hiatus, the last 3 episodes of the first season still do not have a broadcast schedule.
