Why is the snake Aoda loyal to Sasuke from Naruto to Boruto? While most of the snakes in Ryuchi Cave have different personalities than Aoda, Sasuke's summoned mascot.
Aoda is described as very loyal and obeys all orders from Sasuke. When he appeared in Boruto, Aoda was ready to help Sasuke's daughter, Sarada, when she fought Garaga. On the other hand, most of the snakes in Ryuchi Cave are cunning, cruel, and generally hate humans.
1. Snakes in Ryuchi Cave often hate humans
Let's take the example of Manda, Orochimaru's snake who hates humans and hates Orochimaru for the rest of his life. Manda accepted Orochimaru's orders not out of loyalty, but out of fear, because Orochimaru was the first human Manda could not kill. While it always took the lives of its previous human teammates when it wanted to form a contract with it.
Manda died with a great hatred for humans, especially because Sasuke summoned it when Deidara blew up his body and used Manda as a human shield.
Then the giant white snake and Garaga in Boruto also showed dislike for humans.
2. Why is Aoda loyal to Sasuke?
Why is Aoda loyal to Sasuke, even though Manda – the leader of the snakes in Ryuchi Cave – died because of Sasuke?
Is it because Manda is an evil snake, even beyond the evil standards of Orochimaru and other snakes, because it always demands sacrifices. Perhaps Aoda actually felt grateful that the evil leader had been eliminated.
On the other hand, Aoda's trust and loyalty are truly on another level, perhaps closer to the relationship between Naruto and Kurama. Before making a contract, Sasuke and Aoda often talked for a long time, until eventually Aoda wanted to make a contract with Sasuke.
3. Theories about why Aoda is loyal
According to the author himself, if Aoda is forced into a contract, it will not be loyal. Aoda's ability to become loyal is because it became Sasuke's conversation partner during his travels.
Aoda said that Sasuke often told him about Sarada. This sounds interesting, because the quiet Sasuke can converse comfortably with his trusty summoned beast.
Another factor to consider is that Ryuchi Cave actually has good snakes. We know that Garaga was once very loyal to his master before being betrayed. Maybe Aoda was kind from the beginning and so far it hasn't been betrayed like Garaga. So there is no reason for it to be cruel and brutal.
Sasuke is now so strong that he no longer needs a summoned beast. So, since Aoda is loyal to Sasuke, it could even be passed down to Sarada later on.
