Anime fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement Tokyo Revengers Season 4. With the surprising ending of the Tenjiku Arc , the anime made it pretty clear that there was a lot more to the story that needed to be adapted.
Unfortunately, however, neither LIDENFILMS nor the anime’s official sources have revealed anything about the sequel. So fans can’t help but wonder what they can expect to see Tokyo Revengers season 4 or not.
The former adapts the Tenjiku Arc, in which Kisaki Tetta uses Izana Kurokawa to break Manjiro Sano and gain control of the Tokyo Manji Gang.
Luckily, some of Takemichi’s friends learned of his timeless secret, leading to Takemichi confronting and defeating Kisaki Tetta. Unfortunately, the whole incident in Kanto also saw two other people die – Emma Sano and Izana Kurokawa.
Tokyo Revengers season 4: Will there be another season?
Yes, the Tokyo Revengers anime will most likely get a fourth season. Although neither LIDENFILMS nor official anime sources announced the production of a fourth season, the third season ended on a surprising note.
With Kisaki Tetta passed away, Takemichi essentially succeeded in his mission. However, the anime did show him returning to the future to test the results of the changes he made in the past. Additionally, it seems like the anime didn’t give Takemichi enough time to process Kisaki’s death, as evidenced by his hands still shaking as he witnessed his grotesque death.
Therefore, it is highly likely that anime studio LIDENFILMS will produce it Tokyo Revengers Part 4. So, fans can expect to see the anime make a similar announcement in a few months. With Anime Japan 2024 taking place at the end of March 2024, fans can expect the series to announce the same during that event.
In addition, fans should also note that the Tenjiku part, although it did not attract as many audiences as the previous parts, was highly appreciated by fans. It shows the anime received an average rating of 7.9 stars on MyAnimeList, close to the rating of the first season which was rated 7.95 stars.
Fans must also remember that, while LIDENFILMS has a lot of anime, Tokyo Revengers is probably its most popular IP. So, they wouldn’t want to abandon the series midway when it could be marketed more.
In terms of source material, the manga has published a total of 278 chapters. Additionally, the anime only adapts up to chapter 185, which is the end of the Tenjiku Arc. So there are still 93 chapters of the manga left for LIDENFILMS to adapt as part of Tokyo Revengers 4 onwards.
Therefore, since the Bonten Arc, Three Deities Arc, and Kanto Manji have yet to be adapted into anime, fans can expect to see two or three more seasons of the anime series. However, this will all depend on how LIDENFILMS intends to animate the same.
There’s also a small chance that LIDENFILMS will animate all the remaining chapters as part of Tokyo Revengers Ss 4 and released them as two courses.
