The Solo Leveling anime was a huge hit in early 2024, making fans excited for the second season before the first season ended. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but the huge success of the first season and the number of stories left to be told in the manhwa suggest that there will definitely be a second season.
Although there are some changes, the anime still follows the manhwa closely. Taking into account the current pace, it is possible to make some predictions about the storylines that will be carried out in the next season.

What parts will Solo Leveling season 2 include?
Solo Leveling’s first season has 12 episodes, but it’s not yet known how many episodes the second season will have. Looking at how the anime usually adapts about four seasons of the manhwa per episode, the second season will begin around chapter 46, where the story of the Red Gate begins.
Everyone thought that the anime would end the first season with Jin-Woo changing jobs, long before the first episode came out. That’s because the final moments of this season were so impactful, so perfect that they left everyone in suspense to see what would happen next.

If the second season follows the same plan as the first season, with 12 more episodes, it will end either after the Demon Castle arc, which ends at chapter 89, or after the Jeju Island arc, which lasts until chapter 107.
If the third season begins on Jeju Island, it will take a total of at least four seasons, up to 48 episodes, to tell the entire story exactly like in the manhwa.
Those who have read the manhwa hope that the anime will continue to have more depth and develop the main characters better. The first season did a great job of this and will continue to do so in the second season. For example, characters like Cha Haein and Go Gunhee were more prominent in the first season than they had been in the manhwa up to that point, so they may be even more important in subsequent chapters.
In addition to the supporting characters, the anime also shows more of Jin-Woo’s personal dilemmas, making the story more realistic than in the manhwa. And the second part will delve deeper into Jin-Woo’s inner conflicts and trauma.
Another thing the anime is doing differently is how it shows Jin-Woo’s strength. For example, in some parts of the manhwa, Jin-Woo has a huge aura around him, but in the anime this is more discreet and his eyes don’t shine as much. These changes aren’t just because of differences in animation, but they seem to have a reason behind it. Probably to make his power increases more impactful as he unlocks everything he can do.
Sung Jin-Woo’s fate in part 2: Rising to the top as the strongest

Following the current trajectory of the first season, Jin-Woo’s phenomenal growth has put him in the same category as the strongest B-Rank Hunters. He himself thinks that reaching S-Rank is a possibility, if he continues to progress at this rate. Depending on how part 2 goes, it’s very possible that Jin-Woo will become the strongest hunter in Korea even before part 3.
Regardless of how the second season ends, Jin-Woo will almost certainly reach S Rank, being recognized as the country’s eighth S Rank Hunter in the Rank Retest. This is expected to take place during season 2, especially since it will likely include the Demon’s Castle arc. The rank retest will be a decisive moment, thrusting Jin-Woo into the spotlight as he is reclassified as one of the few S-Rank Hunters in Korea.
The true origin of Jin-Woo’s power will be explored further in part 2

Part 2 promises to delve deeper into the mysteries of Jin-Woo’s power as a Player. After changing jobs at the end of the first season, many questions remain about how this power will affect his life and the fate of the world. Jin-Woo’s journey to unlock the secrets of his necromancy skills and the true cost of that power will take center stage, especially with the events following the attack to Jeju Island.
Jin-Woo’s new abilities are powerful but they also hide a darker reality. Season 2 will not only continue to explore Jin-Woo’s growth as a hunter, but will also begin to lift the curtain on the darkest secrets of being a Player, bringing Jin-Woo and the audience gets closer to the full truth.
