One Piece has been around for decades now and the Straw Hat crew has overcome all sorts of challenges.
The One Piece story has been adapted into a live-action film, with season 1 being a huge success last year. Following that success, Netflix is producing season 2 this year. With production officially starting earlier this year, fans have been getting constant updates on what to expect in the next installment.
Not long ago, it was confirmed that actress Lera Abova will be taking on the role of Nico Robin in the live-action film. So now all the fans have the same question “What would Lera Abova look like as Nico Robin?”.
In response to that question, the One Piece fandom has used photo editing to give us an idea of what Abova would look like as Nico Robin.
Besides, Netflix's One Piece has released the first look at Nico Robin's Miss All Sunday costume and some behind-the-scenes information during this year's Geeked Week. This is her first costume in Eiichiro Oda's original One Piece manga. It features a fur coat and cowboy hat that set her apart from many other characters at the time.
Who is Lera Abova?
For those unfamiliar with Abova, the actress was born in November 1992 and is a newcomer to the industry. Born in Siberia, the Russian actress began her entertainment career through modeling after moving to Germany at the age of 13.
According to previous interviews, Abova struggled to adjust to life in Germany, but things gradually improved. In 2016, Abova started modeling, which gave way to acting.
In 2019, Abova starred in Luc Besson's Anna alongside Sasha Luss. She has since starred in Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, a television series based on the hit film. Upcoming projects include Honey Don't and The Good Side of a Bad Man, as well as One Piece.
What to expect from One Piece season 2
With all the attention on Abova, One Piece fans are eager to see how the Russian actress approaches Nico Robin, a key character in the series whose story will soon begin on Netflix.
Finally, series creator Eiichiro Oda has confirmed the plot of season two and we'll be starting in Loguetown. One Piece will continue through the Drum Island arc, stopping just before the Alabasta saga really begins. This means Netflix's One Piece will bring Miss All Sunday to center stage and as the series continues, Nico Robin will become a new member of the Straw Hat crew.
As of now, there's no word on when Netflix's live-action One Piece season 2 will return.
