1. WHAT IS BTS?
BTS is a 7-member Korean idol boy group that debuted on June 13, 2013 and is managed by Big Hit Entertainment. BTS is the abbreviation of “Bangtan Sonyeondan(방탄소년단)” which in Korean means “Bulletproof Boy Scouts”, in English it means “Bulletproof Boy Scouts”. In 2017, they announced that BTS stands for “Beyond the Scene” in English.

According to Billbourd, in 2017 and 2018, BTS were the most tweeted about celebrities.
Also in 2017, BTS beat Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez to win the Billboard Music Award for “Top Social Artist of the Year”, becoming the first Korean artist to win this award.
Both of BTS’s 2018 albums “Love Yourself: Answer” and “Love Yourself: Tear” reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts. This is the first since the group One Direction achieved it in 2014.
