A new webcomic has allegedly used AI to track various scenes from the isekai anime Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation and Guardians of the Galaxy.
According to Manga Mogura RE and the Korean news site Nate, a new webcomic called The Knight King has caused a stir because readers suspect that the artist derived from Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation uses artificial intelligence ( AI), resulting in a review score of 1.91 out of 10, as of May 24. Readers have noticed two specific panels that appear to be taken directly from the anime: one in the scene where Rudeus is reincarnated as Rudeus. one child and the other a picture of his mother smiling at him. Furthermore, Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy seems to have transformed himself into webcomic.
While some readers expressed shock at the blatant tracing, others have pointed out that although some of the first chapters are similar to Mushoku Tensei, The Knight King moves on to a separate story afterwards. . However, most of the negative reaction stems from the way the series uses AI. Blue Line Studio, which produces the webcomic, admits the studio only uses AI in the final stages of production and for post-editing work. According to @PundaChen, the studio has gone back to revising previous chapters and stated that they won’t be using AI for future chapters.

The Knight King isn’t the only series accused of using AI.
