It has been officially announced that “Walküre FINAL LIVE TOUR 2023 〜Last Mission〜,” which will take place from May to June this year, will soon be available on Blu-ray and DVD. Starting in May On October 20 at Tokyo Ariake Arena, followed by performances at Maruzen Intec Arena Osaka and Makuhari Messe 1-3 International Exhibition Hall, “Walküre FINAL LIVE TOUR 2023 〜Last Mission〜” marked the first six-show arena tour in Macross history, entertaining a total of approximately 74,000 attendees. The final show saw fierce competition for tickets, with countless fans eagerly awaiting a video to be released. The production, which captures the excitement and enthusiasm of live venues, will be released in five different formats. Exclusive “Mission Complete Edition” limited edition available on Blu-ray, includes approximately 10 hours of footage, including performances at Tokyo Ariake Arena Day 1 & Makuhari Messe Day 6, Tokyo Ariake encore segments Arena Day 2 & Makuhari Messe Day 5, and an in-depth documentary providing insight into all six performances. It also comes in a special collector’s box with a lavish 68-page photo book. The standard edition will be available in four different formats, each containing the opening dates and final shows of the tour on both Blu-ray and DVD. “At Tokyo Ariake Arena (Day 1)” includes footage from the Day 1 performance at Tokyo Ariake Arena and behind-the-scenes documentary footage from both shows in Tokyo. “At Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall (Day 6)” similarly features footage from Day 6 performances at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall 1-3 and behind-the-scenes material from both performances by Makuhari. All Blu-ray editions offer dual audio modes, with 5.1-channel surround sound and 2-channel stereo, to faithfully reproduce the overwhelming energy of large stages. (Please note that the DVD and documentary are only available in 2-channel stereo.) The cover features an original illustration drawn by Chisato Mita (CAPCOM), the character designer for MacrossΔ. This striking illustration depicts the Walküre members in their pristine white live performance outfits, evoking the theme of “leaving.” Don’t forget to book in advance!
