Image via Voice Kit Voice actress Ami Maeshima revealed on Friday that she is back from hiatus. Additionally, she will return as Aya Maruyama in BanG Dream! franchise, despite previously announcing that she would step down.
Maeshima began suspending all entertainment activities last November and was expected to last several months. She said it was related to her poor physical health and she would reveal more in the future after recovering. Maeshima has also announced that she will be giving up on several roles, including Aya Maruyama in BanG Dream! franchise and Ibuki Niijima from the D4DJ franchise. Both series have announced that they will recast her characters, although only the D4DJ series recasts Maeshima’s character.
Besides Aya in BanG Dream! and Ibuki in D4DJ, Maeshima voiced Makeru Yadano in Komi Can’t Communication. She has also performed theme songs for anime she voices, as well as in BanG Dream! and the D4DJ franchise.
