This hiatus, which began last November, was originally intended to last for several months.
Maeshima attributed this break to her struggles with declining physical health, and promised to reveal more details as her recovery progresses.
In addition, she initially announced her departure from many roles, including Aya Maruyama in BanG Dream! and Ibuki Niijima in the D4DJ series.
Interestingly, although both films originally intended to recast her characters, only the D4DJ brand made the decision to recast the character.
In addition to playing Aya in BanG Dream! and Ibuki in D4DJ, Maeshima also showed off her vocal talents with the character Makeru Yadano in Komi Can’t Communication.
