Dragon Ball Daima will premiere on October 11th featuring Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and the Z fighters in their child forms.
Everyone has been turned into children by a mysterious spell, forcing them all to go on a quest to return to their adult forms. New information about the film has been coming out all this time, such as its place in the timeline and the new characters being introduced. Even Daima has made what Dragon Ball fans have been waiting for for nearly 30 years come true.
According to Geekdom101, in Dragon Ball Daima, Vegeta will eventually reach Super Saiyan 3, but the form will not be exactly the same as Goku.
Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta has appeared in unofficial video games and other media in the past, but he has never achieved that form in the anime or manga. However, that is about to change.
According to Geekdom, Baby Vegeta will get that form in Daima. While Mini Vegeta's appearance won't have eyebrows or longer hair, his hair won't fall down his back like Goku and Gotenks. Instead, it will be more reminiscent of Gohan's Beast Transformation when Goku's son fought Cell Max in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
Geekdom says this could be an easter egg from Toriyama's original concept for Super Saiyan 3, which featured the hair sticking up backwards. This design was ultimately rejected, but it looks like it's coming back in Daima.
Now, with Daima's storyline taking place right after the Buu arc in Dragon Ball Z, we might ask why Vegeta never used this form in Dragon Ball Super. The answer is that SSJ3 is a flawed form.
Super Saiyan 3 is very energy-consuming. While it is very powerful, it drains stamina quickly, so Vegeta should probably stick to SSJ2 and perfect his base.
Additionally, in Dragon Ball Super, Vegeta mocks SSJ3, implying that whatever happens makes him dislike this form. It is possible that it drains his stamina extremely quickly in battle.
In Super, Vegeta can also use the much more powerful Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (Super Saiyan Blue) forms, leaving him with no reason to use the SSJ3 transformation.
It's unclear when in Daima Vegeta will get SSJ3, but when he does, fans will definitely be excited. As new transformations are always one of the biggest highlights of any Dragon Ball series.
