Summarize
In Vampire Dormitory volume 1, the story begins with Mito being rescued by Ruka, a vampire.
It then cuts to the palace scene where the next vampire leader is being chosen. Locals insist that only candidates with romantic partners are eligible.
In the human world, Mito lost his job after being caught sleeping on a boat by his employer. He explains that he has nowhere else to be, but he lets go anyway.
As he wanders, memories of his difficult past resurface, including being separated from his relatives and left alone after his parents died.
The staff tasted Mito's blood and found it disgusting. Mito and the staff exchanged a few words before Mito left. The owner then informs Ruka that Mito's unattractive blood is because he is not loved by anyone.
After Mito leaves, the teaser from the beginning of the episode is repeated and Mito faints. When he woke up, he found himself in the boys' dormitory of Ruka school.
Ruka declares that he will take Mito as his slave and try to make him love him to improve the taste of his blood. When Mito is led into the bathroom, it is revealed that he is actually a woman.
The first episode of Vampire Dormitory only adapted the first chapter of the manga series, and fans can expect the series to continue this trend.
This is because each chapter of the manga is longer than the chapters of a regular manga. The first chapter also reveals Mito's true identity as a woman, adding an intriguing element to the story as she navigates life in a dorm full of grown men.
Protecting his newly appointed slave from the advances of other vampires is a challenge for Ruka now that Mito is officially his roommate in the dormitory.
