The Uzumaki anime has revealed a preview for episode 1, which is scheduled to premiere on Adult Swim on September 29 and stream the following day on Max. The dubbed version of the episode will premiere on October 3.

Production I.G. (USA) and Adult Swim are producing the Uzumaki anime, animated by studio Drive. Hiroshi Nagahama will direct and Colin Stetson will compose the music. The anime adaptation was originally scheduled to premiere in October 2022 but was delayed to improve the quality and bring justice to the original work. The cast includes:

Junji's manga series was first published in 1998. It consists of 3 volumes and 19 chapters. Viz Media licensed the manga for English release.

A mysterious spiral shape, the Uzumaki, haunts a small coastal town in Japan. The townspeople are suddenly fascinated by spiral-shaped objects. Shuichi Saito's father is one of them. He becomes increasingly obsessed with spirals—snails, whirlpools, and ceramic decorations. This in itself is not a big deal, but something more sinister is lurking.
